MD KAMRUZZAMAN

Md Kamruzzaman works at Turkish television channel TRT World and the country's news agency, Anadolu Agency. Starting a career as a university correspondent during his study at Bangladesh's leading higher education facility, Dhaka University, Kamruzzaman has a media career of over 20 years.

 

In 2000 he joined the New Nation as Dhaka University Correspondent and then gradually worked at three national newspapers including the Bangladesh Today, the Independent and the Financial Express. Then He switched to television channels with the state-run Bangladesh Television (BTV). Later, he worked at the Boishakhi Television, the CSB News, The DTV.

 

Since 2018, Kamruzzaman has been serving the Anadolu Agency as Bangladesh Correspondent. Since the beginning of 2021 he has also been simultaneously working at the TRT World. His two long articles were published by two international journals on the plights of Rohingya refugees.

 

Kamruzzaman won the Migration Media Award 2019 jointly provided by the European Union, UN Migration (IOM), BRAC and Bangladesh Government for his investigative report on the plights of Bangladeshi female migrants in Saudi Arabia.
