Mohammad Ali Mazed is a video journalist at News Agency AFP, where he produces new and feature videos, while doing text stories as well. He covers a diverse range of topics in Bangladesh, starting from politics to the Rohingya refugee crisis, natural disasters to garment industries.

Previously Mazed worked as a Fact Check reporter for the agency, debunking misinformation circulating online in Bangladesh.

Before joining AFP, he worked as a reporter for fact-checking organisation BOOM Live.

He debunked false claims circulating online during the sensitive time of religious conflict in Bangladesh in 2021, communal violence in India in 2022 and The Russian invasion in Ukraine. 
 
Mazed occasionally conducts training sessions on multimedia journalism, online verification and media literacy in Bangladesh.
