TANVIR CHOWDHURY
Tanvir Chowdhury is a Bangladeshi-origin American journalist currently working for Qatar-based broadcaster Al Jazeera. He studied journalism at Wichita State University in Kansas and completed his Masters in Business Administration from Australia.

He has lived in the US for over 20 years before he moved to Bangladesh. He earned a diploma in TV production from New York's Center for Media Arts.
​
Tanvir edited an online news portal newsfrombangladesh.net in 1997 with colleagues.
​
He joined the Al Jazeera as a correspondent in November 2007. His excellent reportage in Bangladesh covered the great exodus of the Rohingya refugees, climate change and politics.
​
As part of an AJ team, he won the Webby People's Voice Award for his Rohingya plight coverage.
​
Tanvir is a BJIM co-founder.
